Field recording & listening workshops (2026)

Workshop sessions led with Peaks of Colour and with the Experimental School of Urban Ecologies at Bethnal Green Nature Reserve based on recording prompts as an introduction to deep listening practices, field recordings and drawing and writing in response to sound. The sessions were inspired by artworks such as ‘Pastoral Interlude’ by Ingrid Pollard, Tina Campt’s ‘Listening To Images’ and Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening: A Composer’s Guide to Sound Practice.

Each session explored how listening can be thought as a sensory and embodied process can connect us to the resonances, details and intimacy of the land.
